DataNet Veteran Stephen A. Arnett to Assume Statistical Process Control (SPC) Software Company Leadership
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 29, 2008–DataNet Quality Systems (DataNet), manufacturer of WinSPC® and QualTrend® Quality Control Software, announced today that Stephen A. Arnett has been promoted to CEO by DataNet’s lead shareholder and President Ned Greenberg.
“The past few years have been an exciting time for DataNet,” said Greenberg. “We’ve undergone significant growth and change–in which Stephen has played a key role as our COO. Stephen brings a remarkable amount of talent, discipline and vision to the role. At this time we need to expand the company’s professional leadership to continue to flourish. I have been looking forward to this day and I’m confident in Stephen’s ability to reach even loftier objectives.”
Greenberg will continue to serve as DataNet’s President, but will focus on more strategic aspects of the business. Arnett will assume overall company leadership and report directly to Greenberg and other members of the Board.
“I am very excited about this move,” said CEO Stephen A. Arnett. “Under Ned’s leadership, DataNet has built significant brand recognition and made WinSPC a dominant name in the SPC Software industry. It will be an exciting challenge for me to step into this role. I’m looking forward to driving the company to the next level of performance.”
As CEO, Arnett is responsible for the overall vision and direction of DataNet. His goal is to double the company’s profits within three years. To achieve this, Arnett plans to focus the business on delivering excellence in its core competence: real-time statistical software. He plans to align the company’s flagship product, WinSPC®, with customer expectations; to expand market share; and to enhance DataNet’s customer relationships. Arnett will command this change by implementing principle-centered leadership and creating a more customer-centric organization.

Since 2002, Arnett has been responsible for managing DataNet’s operational activities as the company’s COO. He joined DataNet in 1997 as Director of Channel Development, where he developed critical business partnerships.
Prior to DataNet, Arnett, 42, honed his business skills as an operations consultant and analyst at Accenture, a global management consulting company. Prior to that Arnett was a principal of AMSEC, Inc., where he executed contract manufacturing for retail computer chains and delivered custom software for the retail, packaged goods and telecommunications industries. Arnett graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Arnett, originally from Columbus, Ohio, resides in the Detroit area with his wife and two daughters.
