Company Achieves Record Growth from Real-time SPC Software and Related Services, Poised for Continued Growth in 2008
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—January 25, 2008—DataNet Quality Systems (DataNet), manufacturer of WinSPC® and QualTrend® quality control software, announced continued profitability and record growth in 2007, including a 57 percent increase in fourth quarter revenue compared to 2006. DataNet, a privately-held Michigan-based company, grew its staff by 20 percent in 2007 and recorded its highest revenue in the company’s 11-year history. The company attributes its revenue growth to industry standardization on DataNet’s innovative quality control software products.
“I am encouraged by DataNet’s performance in 2007,” said Ned Greenberg, DataNet’s president. “While many of the world’s largest manufacturers have embraced our technologies for over a decade, it is apparent that more and more manufacturers are relying upon DataNet software as a key component of their quality control programs. All signs point toward continued success in 2008.”
DataNet develops quality control software for the manufacturing industry. Its flagship product, WinSPC, is an SPC software tool that is used on the manufacturing shop floor to collect quality data, in real time, during the production process. The software employs the theory of Statistical Process Control and displays control charts that allow manufacturers to uncover—and thereby correct—unwanted process variation that leads to defects, waste, and/or poor quality products. WinSPC also allows manufacturers to perform advanced statistical analysis on their processes, quickly generate quality reports for management and customers, and cost-effectively comply with regulatory requirements, such as ISO, FDA, USDA, and others.
“DataNet’s core value proposition is simple,” stated Greenberg. “WinSPC is easy to deploy and typically provides a return on investment within three to six months. Our customers report improved process and product quality, reduced waste, higher yields, and satisfied customers. In sum, DataNet’s real-time SPC solutions offer a proven method to drive process improvement and increase profitability.”
The company serves a variety of manufacturing industry verticals, including:
• Semiconductors and Computer-related Electronics
• Electrical Equipment, Appliances & Consumer Goods
• Food & Beverage
