WinSPC® Offers Preferred Functionality And Architecture For Complex Manufacturing Processes
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-March 9, 2007-DataNet Quality Systems (DataNet), manufacturer of WinSPC® and QualTrend® quality improvement software, announced today that it was named the largest provider of real-time SPC software to the electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry by ARC Advisory Group (ARC). The ARC publication, Continuous Improvement Systems: Five Year Market Analysis and Forecast Through 2010, reported data from surveys collected among manufacturers who have continuous improvement programs.
“We are pleased to once again be recognized as one of the top SPC software companies in the world,” said Ned Greenberg, president of DataNet. “The popularity of our WinSPC architecture within the electronics and semiconductor industry, among others, continues to drive our financial strength and success, as well as bolster our leadership position in the ever-growing continuous improvement software market.
The Continuous Improvement Systems: Five Year Market Analysis and Forecast Through 2010 featured profiles of over 69 key suppliers of various continuous improvement software. The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2005. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training, and software-related services and consulting. In addition to being listed as the largest real-time SPC supplier in the electronics and semiconductor markets, DataNet was also recognized as one of the five largest real-time SPC vendors aggregating all manufacturing segments surveyed.
“SPC is a critical tool for improving process control, product quality, and customer satisfaction,” said Ralph Rio, research director, ARC Advisory Group. “Being able to view SPC results through a web browser or with Active X controls– as with WinSPC– allows a broader team to engage in quality improvement. This team involvement is a key component of continuous improvement programs like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing that are used throughout the electronics industries.”
DataNet has also been recognized by a number of leading publications and organizations for its product innovation, market leadership and successful customer implementations. Its past honors include: ISA President’s Award, Most Innovative Technology Product, ISA, 1997; “Top 75 Fastest Growing Independent Software Vendors for Windows,” Start magazine, 1999; “Hottest Companies to Watch,” Start magazine, 2001; and “The Best SPC Software 2005,” Eworks.
