Aerospace and Defense Customers Drive Solution for Quality and Process Control
MINNEAPOLIS— Intercim, Inc., a leading provider in advancing process execution for manufacturers, and DataNet Quality Systems Inc., an innovative provider of quality management solutions, today announced the signing of a strategic agreement to support joint customers with a solution that will streamline process execution and real-time statistical analysis of shop floor data for improved product quality. The partnership, which began in February 2003, has lead to two joint customer implementations in the Aerospace and Defense market.
The partnership between Intercim and DataNet leverages their respective products and services to provide process execution and quality management solutions to prospective and current customers. The agreement is of significant value to both Intercim and DataNet customers because it integrates Intercim’s FACTORYnet MES suite with DataNet’s WinSPC Statistical Process Control (SPC) software vastly improving data collection and analysis efficiencies.
“We responded to our installed Aerospace and Defense customers’ need for the integration of a statistical process control software and our MES suite,” said John Todd, president of Intercim. The integrated solution has increased the level of commitment to providing the highest possible level of services and support to our joint customers.”
Designed to simplify entry of data for statistical analysis, the integrated solution seamlessly passes information gathered during data collection in the manufacturing execution system into the statistical process control software for immediate trending analysis. Additionally, an operator can launch DataNet’s WinSPC software from Intercim’s FACTORYnet MES suite for additional statistical validation of data.
“This partnership creates the foundation for Aerospace and Defense enterprises to derive substantial benefits. Our combined solution will provide the highly regulated community with added visibility to their statistical data collection and trending requirements while optimizing product quality,” said Ned Greenberg, VP for DataNet. “DataNet and Intercim are confident that we can reduce our customers’ production costs with the reduction in data entry errors, elimination of data entry duplication, and immediate visibility by an operator of process trending analysis.”
